As well as self defence and fitness, it helps build confidence in dealing with stressful situations and teaches you to remain calm under pressure. For some people it acts as a healthy distraction from the stresses of daily life. It’s also a great way to make lifelong friendships and enjoy yourself whilst learning something new.
Why should you give Hillingdon BJJ a try?
Our ladies classes are a great way to try Jiu-Jitsu in a friendly, environment. Classes are lead by a female black belt and are for women 16+. They have a clear focus on techniques that don’t require having the size or strength advantage over your opponent. We also have clean ladies changing and shower facilities.
We are so lucky to have a welcoming and supportive group of female students at HBJJ from all walks of life, ranging from mums, students, competitors, hobbyists and some people that just want to try something new. These classes are perfect for beginners and a great first step for ladies looking try try BJJ.
Having a thriving female community in our gym is very important to us. Women are welcome in all classes, but if you are nervous to attend a mixed classes, our ladies sessions are a great place to start.
